OS X Leopard release date?

i was just curious, im planning to get an iMac but i want to know when Leopard is released so i can work out when to get it, etc. I know that Tiger comes with all Mac computers now, but id like to know when Leopard will be released. if anyone has any information on this it would be a big help. thanks!

I don't think anyone outside of Apple has reliable information, but given Apple's usual habit of releasing things at the very end of the announced month, I'd say it will be released on or around October 31st.

Hint: Don't get a machine when Leopard is brand-new. I know you might think it will save you money, but brand-new Apple software always has a few nasty bugs to be worked out.
Wait until they fix the nasties, then buy Leopard.

Plus they have a habit of lowering the price drastically two months after release. Don't be like the suckers who bought an iPhone...
