Why?
You expected a random person in the 'net to use proper capitalization
.

Nor have I, but I
have spoken to one on the phone.
I have also met a half-German (other half was Dutch) who spoke English.

I didn't mean that seriously, just to make sure nobody misunderstands me. By the way, Kevin, your German isn't much worse than some people's English here (which is not exactly praise for your German skills
)...
Oh, Noes! I just thought about some of those incoherent posts people make here some times. Although, a few are actually just people with English being a new language - so no problem with those at all.

I guess you could consider 100% the average level of the native speaker.
@inflater:
Dutch: 100%
English: 98%
German: 35%
French: 25%
Greek: 1% (I know the alphabet, yay)
---
Basic: 100%
Logo: 100%
ZZT-OOP: 95%
Java: 85%
C: 80%
Assembly: 80%
Haskell: 70%
PHP: 70%
C++: 60%

Look at inflater's kick-off post on language percentage. He did set the scale, placing himself at 100% in two languages... it's a matter of "100% means there is nothing I don't know" and "100% is a good native speaker's level". I actually considered my 98% English to be on the defensive side... and all I wanted was to crack a joke about
programming languages. Hang loose, dude...

I won't go there. Once I realized I have completely
forgotten everything I knew about three dialects of BASIC, ARexx and ABAP, I decided I won't go there. Sometimes an elipsis just has to do.

ok, maybe i should have put a smiley in the end, really i didnt mean anything other than there was a reason that i didnt write 100% at my native language, simply because that would be a lie
