If you don't like his programming, tell him how to improve it. If you think he uses his vocabulary incorrectly, correct him. But don't go around attacking other users to boost your own ego.

Quite frankly nobody cares what you think either. If you want to leave an impression on people, to make a difference, be constructive. Or at least try to be. That way, even if they completely disagree with your point of view and your opinions, at least they've learned something from you. Which I'm sure is the reason new users post here.

QBASIC "OS's" are pretty common but the most common reason most users try to make an OS in QBASIC is that they don't know how to use a lower level language to write a bootloader and copy that onto disk. Beleave it or not, this can be taught. If you want to make yourself helpful in the future, try pointing these users to a FAQ or some other getting started link. I think the wiki even has a page for that.

By the way, anonymously attacking new users makes you look like a coward. I would have passed over your post without saying anything at all had you posted with your real name instead of using an anonymous psuedonym. Or are you a coward?

Jesus dont let this turn into another do you think its possible for..... kind of post that will drag on for like 100 posts lets just end it here. PS Its not an os unless it boots WITHOUT dos or any current oses.

So you don't think a program which loads after dos, switches into PMODE (permanantly), replaces all the DOS/BIOS 16-bit drivers with 32-bit drivers and loads non-dos-compatible executables into a multitasking envirnment, including a graphical shell, would be considered an OS? Even if the only reason DOS was used was for compatibility with DOS programs which the user might wish to run when the system starts?

If that's not an OS, what is it? A "shell" with its own drivers for everything?

Fine I would consider Zot os an os if it did all that but Zot os doesn't load non-dos-compatible executables or replace all the DOS/BIOS 16-bit drivers with 32-bit plus he has a libc to work with do all of us have one, no we have to write our own(unless he wrote his own).

Please stop replying to this thread we dont want another do you think its possible... incedent happening again.
