Hi! I'm trying to access this forum from work (UFPR, Federal Univerity of Parana - Brazil) from IP range 200.17.xxx.xxx and I recieve "denied" from the forum. Now from home I access normally. Why this happened?

Best regards,

Nelson Sicuro

You're IP range is probably blocked... Have you tried a web proxy?

I think Df put all of Brazil on the ban-list to get rid of an amount of hacking/spamming (not sure which one anymore) attempts which kept coming from all over that range. 's Been a while, and I've forgotten the specifics, though.

This is odd... My access at home stills in Brazil, but as anyone can see I can access the forum. And just the forum is denied for UFPR's IP range, not the FAQ and other pages. I know that can be a lot of hackers on an university. My only frustration is that I can read the forum only at home, and I do a lot of OS research at work...

Anyway, "if a problem cannot be solved, solved it is"...

Best regards to all,

Nelson
