From the Floppy Code 32BIT thread comes this discussion. It's gone offtopic. :

I don't want to be criticized anymore, and I don't want to criticized anyone else anymore. :D

Thanks candy, once again you have proved my theory that all you mods on this forum, other than Pype.Clicker, are full of your own self importance ;) .

Nice links Candy, I couldn't find those on the FAQ before, what section are they under? Should probably be added to the floppy drive section under hardware on the front page when someone has some time for those of us too lazy to do a search (like me) ;)

Clicker is very much a reference for a lot of the things people ask for, tis like a mascot OS ;D

I just re-read the post, and realized someone just talked to me like I am a idiot.
1. We didn't search the FAQ for you,
2. but you didn't either,
3. or you didn't consider these links important.
Lets see... I know its not #1. Hmm.. Well it is not #2, or I got it. I did not consider those links important! Thats the one. I really did not consider them important. Im so glad I have someone to tell me exactly what I did or did not do. Wow!

Wait. I got a idiot that goes behind me and says some stupid crap to make me look like I think all the mods are full of self-important.

Oh.. I forgot to send a privmsg to ask for code. Thats what it is! I am some how lower because I did not send a privmsg. Im sorry, I did not know.

....we're looking for.
Do you want to hold my hand and go look for floppy driver code? I think it would be soo nice..

I mean, I asked if anyone. Not if someone would go search for some code for me, but if someone had some code. I don't know mabye that was stupid? I have never asked for code before to make any part of my hobby OS for about 3 to 4 years now. My brain might be a little slow you know, mabye writting a OS is very hard for me... I might not be "smart" or make "smart" decisions, including smart posts on a forum. I should have registered so I could have editted my post. Mabye we need a delete post button, geee, just for me. I could have used that delete post button over 100 times. Wow, I need to delete this one too. <post>

Hi,

Are you sure you're Rick James?

Anyway, perhaps you should consider registering - it's free, it's easy and it allows you to edit previous posts....

Cheers,

Brendan

Thank you. We're just pointing out that if you actually use the FAQ search button with normal terms (I searched for "floppy") you can get those kinds of information yourself. Say, the point of the FAQ.

How is this me being full of self-importance?

I think you might just be overreacting.

Just so you know, I didn't call you an idiot. You yourself just did. I claimed that you either didn't search the FAQ (could well be, probably was), didn't consider the links I gave important (could well be, you could not be able to use their driver model for example) or you would have found it. I guessed at the second one, that you couldn't use the driver model.

For others who find your thread in the future and want to know about drivers for floppy drives, they can use the links as well. For them it might be useful.

I posted those links here since I figured it should've been on the FAQ. I thus checked it and they were there.

If I could mark this as flamebait I would.

Normal response: If you infact registered you could edit and delete your posts.

[edit] would you be happy if I just didn't reply to either of you anymore? [/edit]

I really don't get what's happened to these forums. There's Dex4u consistently trying (and failing now that we don't bother responding) to start flamewars, people (like kmcguire in this post, though you seem perfectly normal usually IIRC) over-reacting to the slightest things. Seriously, everyone, just chill. Dex4u, if you don't like the forums then no-one's forcing you to stay, and if you don't like particular posts then it's much easier to just not reply. kmcguire, no-one's calling you an idiot.

As my mate is fond of quoting:

THE INTERNET... SERIOUS BUSINESS

(which is sarcastic btw)

:) ;) :D ;D ::) :P :-* <---- how can you stay mad with those staring at you?

You are right, kemp. I feel better already, I just over reacted. :D

It was a long day at work, and this ***** with a attitude that lives with me now would not leave me alone yesterday.. :D

She doesn't do anything. I come home from work, she has been in the bed all day long... wtf. :D

So I figure that work, the *****, dex4u, and my proness to doing stupid things causing me to overreact. Sorry, Candy. :D

I forgot to tell you guys, I am really not normaly :-\. I can over-react easily under stress. I may be delusional at moments, so bear with me. I have gotton better over the years and continue to work to perfect myself. I do not have many friends because of my attitude as well, its just something I have to work on, but thanks for not over-reacting with me! :P

Dex4u, might even have the same problem. He might be younger too, but never the less. It kinda looks like he suffers from anger too.

That's ok, we all have days where we want to hit someone, it's just best not to bring it online as people don't usually know why you're acting like that. Be happy, and tell her to move ;)

Edit:
You registered :)

Edit 2:
Lol, we've been writing these at about the same time. Also, your first edit :)

OK, people! This is OSDEV forum, not post-your-life-story forum. So let's deal with OSDEV and not with love problems ;D ;D ;D

OS Dev is stressful, thats why mods should learn to chill out and if for example, we get off topic, so what, this is not a university forum etc, it's for hobby OS Dev's, i did not see many happy xmas or new year mesages, what does this say about the forum ?.
You can answer a ?, with one of these :) or one of these >:( .

That you're looking in the wrong forum. Try off-topic.

You might want to break that sentence up into multiple sentences, this one doesn't make sense.

Mods stress even more in their private time. They're just normal users with a sidejob that they can move topics etc. The two parts are completely separate. I moderate entirely loose from my posting. As I said to somebody who congratulated me with being moderator (including his reply):
I won't change, just be my old cranky self :)...
no ones asking for anything else ;)
