I'd advise you strongly to change the name WindOS,this guy made a linux version of windows called: lindows, and he got sued 2 million, so change the OS name now! before you get caught.

yes, i agree -- nothing is worth breaking the law, especially when its so easily avoidable

Some men make Lindows (linux that runs windows applications and looks like windows) that I now and understand. But who sued him? And why he need to pay 2 million $ ?

because it is against the law to create a product with a similer name to an existing (similer) product


lindows name is similer to the name 'windows' (just changing one letter)
as is the name windOS -- in fact those are even closer
this is a very clear breach of trademark law -- the use of a name similer to another preexisting name
