Hi everyone!
I have thought of some ideas for my OS. Here they are:
An operating system with a primary function of Home Entertainment.
? Fast, but stable
? Easy to use and set-up with no jargon
? Maybe based around a Linux kernel or even a new kernel
? Capable of playing video, recording video (through Firewire, video editing program or from TV card) and editing video using a variey of codecs including DivX, Xvid, 3ivx, Indeo and others
? Supports most AGP and PCI (express and normal) video cards
? HDD bootable and available as a LiveDVD
? Can play and burn DVDs/CDs/Blu-ray/HD-DVD with most ATAPI, SCSI and USB disc writers
? Can find music, CD and DVD information from the internet
? Range of built-in software including office suite, media suite and games
So what do you think, people? If you like it, want to help me with it or know someone who would take up the idea then email me at [email protected].
