Rochester, NY

Hey, Im kinda depressed because I am planning to go to united states for ms and phd study at the end of this summer. Its so *amn opposite to me, I mean Ill leave everything here and I will start things again there. aaahhh, Im even more depressed now ???... Anyway. I am going to The University of Rochester, NY is there anybody living near to rochester or does anybody have information about rochester? I am wondering what the weather is like, how social life is and some more stuff about rochester. I heard that weather is always cloudy and summer is only known by name there... Anyway, I hope Im wrong, otherwise Ill crack up there... :-X :'(
