what are EP's, LP's, etc., when bands refer to them are their albums or whatever. like when a band says they are releasing an ep or something. what do they all stand for or mean.

EPs're cassettes. LPs're those big, flat, black discs you play by putting a needle on.

I thought that EP is Extended Play, and LP is Long-Playing...
