Back when I had windows 95 I used to get that error as well... do you have the latest version of IE?

I'm using Explorer 5.0

Fortunely it does not happen always so I can enjoy surfing on the net.

Try upgrading to 6.

I use firefox as well... but still, he is asking how to get his browser to work correctly, not what browser we use.
