Hey, just an inquiry to let me know who speaks Dutch here.
Because I think there aren't much Dutch programmers here, I decided to create this.
If you're Dutch, please post it here ;)
Or if you can speak Dutch and you're not Dutch post it in this thread as well, and provide some examples.
Okay, as you probably know, I'm Dutch :)

I pretty much can understand Dutch by now, when we talk about writing or speaking though, I know almost nothing but swearing... :P

As far as I can tell, if you swear in american there's no dutch person who won't understand it. Swearing in english is a different subject though, not many people know what you mean when you call them a turd or a fag...

Godverdomme strontboerke!

Well, that's about cursing, swearing and insulting in Dutch... and you don't understand a thing of it ;D ;D ;D

He's an American actor, hosting the show Candid Camera in the early '90s and starred in movies as Cannonball Run and Spaceballs.

That's flemish, not old dutch. Having a flemish girlfriend does have advantages, as this is pure laughing for dutch people (and her family talks like that too :D)

I think turd and fag are often used in America too (I've heared them on several occasions in South Park, for instance).
It's English words like twat, minge, wanker, arsebiscuits, fucksocks, twunt,... that are lesser known by the global public.

Just... the accent, the weird words you use for some things (confituur, frigo, hesp etc) and stuff like that... it's just so funny that you are the only people that don't get it :)

The French use those words too! Why not laugh at them for a bit? :P
Well, they don't say hesp. ::)
But then again, neither do I.
