Definatly not the right place... we arn't exactly support staff for quake 3.

But who knows, maybe you will get lucky and another quake 3 player that posts here might know how to do it.

Well, chances are the retail version of the game isn't compatible with the demo anymore, which means you'll have to buy it and get it patched.

i have quake 3, but i have not played it yet. i like return to castle wolfenstein better. with return to castle wolfenstein, you go to return to castle wolfenstein multiplayer (a separate executable), and then you can view servers you want to connect to. in quake 3, i would assume you just go into the game, then you can probably select single player or multiplayer. maybe it is because you have the demo version. the demo version may not allow you to play online.

Most games need patches to play online. Be sure to install them before trying.

i wouldnt say most. probably most games 2 or more years old may need to be patched. but newer games i doubt have to be. quake 3 probably needs to be patched.

Yeah, I suppose so, I just never had the time to play newer online games.
