just wondering what everyone thinks about this new layout.

Well this one is nice, although I would still like to see other designs/colors.

Too bright for me. Can't look too long at it :-\

Never bothered to play with YABBSE, but isn't it possible to have multiple designs, and allow the user to choose?
Edit: my eyes hurt already after checking only a few threads...

No, users can't pick different designs in YaBBSE, although I have built a mod file for YaBBSE that allows this to be done(but df would have to install the mod for it to work on this board).

My sig worked better on the old one :-\

Because the old one was worn out, we need a new theme, it got boring.

Just like I change my site's theme every once in a while, other wise it would get very boring just looking the same forever.

I think this board's first priority is to offer information. Defeating boredom by exploding consciousness with terrible colours...is not so important. Old style was good, user-friendly, easy to read and all.

Actually I have to disagree, I never did like the old colors, but I do like this gray much better. Everybody has their own "ideal" look when it comes to boards/sites.

Hehe, me too. I think it's painful, and I got a d?j? vu. I'm sure it's been like this before...
