Hey! It isn't an AGI game! And afterall, there are walkthroughs everywhere.

It might not be an AGI game, but it surely looks like one, so you're not going to tell me you haven't played it.

Butler: Wear a pumpkin (the kind with a face carved into it) on your head
Dog: Throw meat to it

I'll give you some more hints that'll make you less frustrated further on. You should've read (or at least know about) Tolkien's 'The Hobbit' and C.E. Lewis' 'Narnia Tales', know who wrote Dracula (you know that already, I suppose) The rest's possible with guessing ;)

Whoo, Hugo... That takes me back :D
I'm remembering such classics as Supaplex now :o

Anyway, Bram Stoker wrote Dracula, and remember that Igor is colorblind :D

Allen, I didn't say the writer's name because it would be an even bigger giveaway.

Anyway, the mummy. Really can't remember that part, but I'll try (with the help of Gamewinners.com ;D )

Read a bit of the walkthrough and remember it now. The walkthrough describes literally every step you have to make, but that takes the fun out of it, now doesn't it?

This puzzle's just a matter of walking, no typing in commands or anything. The trick is to trap the mummy behind the rock and run for your life to the next screen, trying to avoid the mummy when it gets from behind the rock.

It looks more like SCI anyway (except that typing is still like in AGI, not in popups like in SCI), and I do have played it.

Just a quick question: did you need a walkthrough for Hugo 3: Jungle of Doom?

Well, no. You know, when you stand long enough in one place, it shows you hints.

:o Never knew about that. Just knew that it was so easy that it's the only game I could finish as a 10-year old without the aid of a walkthrough (unlike Hugo 2: Whodunnit. That's too farfetched from time to time, but I was almost rolling over the floor from laughter when I saw what I did all those years of effort for)

I finished it when 5... I only actually needed hints feature in one place near the beginning, where you had to tie vines to the bridge...

Too bad that they continued the series with some 3D-shooter involving the same characters (Nitemare 3D)...

yes, Hugo 4 (Nightmare 3-D) is the 4th hugo game, and i think it should have been made the same way as the others.
