I'm really strange to say this but I have a problem (again). I'm having them a lot lately. So the problem is that I'm making a forum in boardnation.com and when I log in with my name then It's says that there's somekind of a error. Could anyone check it out (go register and then try to log in). :-\

The forum is at: http://users.boardnation.com/~oliver

Thank you!

I've got this:
2: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource

(/home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/html/shared/1_3_1/Sources/Subs.php ln 116)

Hmm, this is strange... looking at a topic without being logged in works... Even loggin in seems to work, because it shows the username and the numer of messages on the top, only accessing any sites doesn't work... Maybe they are working on something at the moment and it will be available again in a few hours?

I had this strange error with my board when I first started it where I had to add another reserved username in order for anything to work. Give that a try, just add three or four different names just to make sure.

later,

But I can't reserve any names because when I log in then it shows the error and when I click on something then it doesn't do anything ( I can only click on the logout button) :'(

Ps!: My English isn't that good so correct me if I did understand the question wrong. ;)

Go to the Yabb forum and post there. I had the same EXACT problem, I don't remember how I managed to log in....?? I remember the same exact thing happening. If you want you can give me your password and username and I will give it a try (you can change it when it's fixed).

good luck,

The password and username should be in you're private messages right about.......... now.

It appears that maybe your MySQL database is set up incorrectly. I searched to the error on the Yabb forum and this is what most people responded with. You might to double check that, perhaps go ahead and do a reinstall, just double check your MySQL names. I will keep on working on it from my end, let me know when you get it fixed. (post here or send me a private message, I will stay logged on)

OH OH!! WAIT, check you settings.php...you should have a back up of it, replace the settings.php with the backup version...can you access the server this way with boardnation?

Ok I'll try that. But don't be logged in too long because I may not get it fixed today. I'll try to do that in about an hour. :)

Do you actually install Yabb with Boardnation? Is there a way to get into the settings.php file? I'm thinking it might be something that boardnation has to fix for you.

edit: I just searched the boardnation forum and in response to this error someone said they would "check it out". Which means you are going to have to email them and ask them to fix it for you. Normally, you could fix it by altering a few files.
