It's spam, but I thought it might interest some of you.

(I don't think we could be selling AGI or SCI games though.)

I got the same email a few weeks ago. I think it is spam from someone involved with the Sludge game engine. They have news updates about new releases of the Sludge engine, but no mention of any other engine. Since that site has been up Brian has released a new version of SCI Studio, and there is no news statement about that. Also, Chris Jones released a new version of AGS since that site has been up and there are no updates about that either. Sounds like a cheap attempt to make money off of other peoples work. I HATE SPAM. >:(

I wonder where they got the list of email addresses from.

http://www.mega-tokyo.com/forum/index.p ... user=Fedor :o

He registered on this board so he could read people's e-mail addresses and send mails to them.

He registered on my board as well, I am going to delete his account so he can't use my member's e-mail addresses to spam people.

I've just modded the source, now everyones email is 'hidden' unless you are Admin. problem solved!

Weird... When you look at someone's profile, you still can see his E-mail, but when you look at the members list, all e-mails are hidden...

That is what he changed. And that isn't weird, that is what df just did. As for it still being in the profile... you can hide it by checking the hide box in your profile. I don't think it matters in the profile, since it is much more dangerous for spam in that list... he used the list to gain alot of e-mails easily... but instead of having to do that he would have to view hundreds of profiles(which is a pain). So the addresses are much safer now than they used to be.
