What operating system do you guys use?

I'm still using an aging version of Windows 95 with Linux v2.0 running as a server. I'll probably get a bigger hardrive and upgrade to Win2k or some distribution of Linux later on but this works for me at the moment.

win2k/sp2, freebsd 4.5-stable, 5.0-current, and win98se on a minimal partition (for a few old boot to dos stuff if I need it)

my sparcstation 5 has netbsd 1.5

my hp-64bit C200 has HPUX 11

and I have about half a dozen other different OS inside my VMware system.

My client machine... Linux-Mandrake 8.2 with WineX... can play any game I have and not crash.

My server... Linux-Mandrake 8.2 with full server install. Haven't had a crash/reboot ever, the only time it does reboot is when power fails. If that happens... my backup power supply alerts Linux and starts the shutdown process if main utility power hasn't been restored within 2 minutes... totally stand alone server... no monitor or keyboard attached.

I'm running Win2k, but I would love to try running a Linux server. That'll happen when I free up some space on my computer (down to 30 MB!)

I use win2k Pro! Because win 95 & win 98 doesn't free memory when a program has been runned! And that sucks!

I have MacOS on my Power PC, Win 98 2nd edition on my Intel PC, a minimal Redhat install on an old Pentium II, a Commodore-64 and a VIC-20. Soon to be installing a whole lot of memory and dosemu to use the Linux box as a DOS Arcade.
