Introduction to me

So I've checked and I can't find a place to put an introduction other than here, so correct me if I'm wrong, I'm new to this forum.
My (short) Introduction

So I've been a programmer for a couple of years, I've gone from batch files to full out C++ libraries, but I think I'm ready to take on OSDeving.
A lot of people think I'm the smartest kid in the world, but I'd be dumb to think that was true. Some things I like are programming (of course)
watching YouTube/TV, live streaming my programming, and of course, playing video games.
I have a BIG interest in older technology, I run my own BBS server (only up on weekends), I love talking on IRC rooms, and even AOL instant messenger.
I was inspired by Terry Davis (the Temple OS guy) to create all kinds of software, but I think it's time I make an operating system, you may think I'm
too inexperienced, and that's probably true, but it's worth a shot, what do I have to lose? (rhetorical question!)

Cool man software developer
:D
P.S: If you have any specific questions I would love to answer them, I'm not good at introductions as you can see, so individual questions+answers would do nicely.

Welcome hausemaster.

I think everyone is too inexperienced to make an OS until they do, and even then there's more to learn. Nothing else really compares! It's a fun ride though, and it sounds like you have good foundation knowledge to get started.

Yeah, welcome to the OSdev world and to this forum! :)

You picked a nice but difficult hobby! Have fun!
