Writing a win95 gpu driver(BGA), need help getting started

I'm kind of bored, so I want to write a bga driver for windows 95. It's totally for learning purposes. So, how do I get started? I seemingly can't find any useful information for that.

Have you downloaded the Windows 95 DDK and looked at the samples?

I looked at it, and it's a MESS.
