hacking

Post by Joey »

hacking sounds interesting, and i would really like to learn it. i want to use it for a good cause by the way. i think if i learnt how to hack, i would learn a lot more about the internet and programming, and it may be helpful. if anyone could teach me a little bit, or knows a good site where i can learn, let me know please.

and notice how i said i wanted to learn HACKING not CRACKING, so i wont do anything stupid with it.

It isn't something that is generally taught, you have to learn for youself. Read code, learn how things work.

The term could be properly used for all of us on this board. As a bunch of these guys reverse-engineered code to work on modern equipment, and to figure out how it works, that would make them hackers. Hacking is just a slang term for an amateur computer scientist, really. It doesn't necessarily mean some super elite techie, and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the Internet (unless you focus on 'Net software).

Oh, and don't be mad, when you can't get in somewhere, it happens in many cases... ;)

I removed that link, we do not condone to giving out programs that can help you break into other people's computers.

hacking is an extreemly broad term. You must be more specific.

Didn't read this thread, but in reply to the topic question, hacking and cracking is something you need to teach yourself or you're not worthy of the knowledge, hehe

If you want to see some really strange "art hacking" go to http://www.runme.org

There's some weird stuff there that makes art out of virii, software bugs, and computer logic (like software without hardware).

Well, really, IMO, anyone who asks how to hack is not worthy of hacking! It's true, if you want to break into systems, you learn everything you can about coding, unix, networks, sockets/ports, etc. You learn all that legit. Then when you're a pro legit, you can use your knowledge for evil!

It's just like reverse enginerring/disassembling. You don't learn to disassemble! You learn to write in assembly! Then, you will know how to disassemble!
