KeyKOS capability-based OS with nano-kernel

Post by willedwards »

This old USENIX paper has turned up on Hacker News etc today, so I thought it interesting to share: http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~KeyKOS/NanoKe ... ernel.html

It seems topical to think and talk about security. Here's a very nice note about Linux security: https://grsecurity.net/~spender/interview_notes.txt

(I think this was mulling these comments by Linus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xKXHavHJ7U )

Really interesting note. Developers should pay attention to it.
My previous account (embryo) was accidentally deleted, so I have no chance but to use something new. But may be it was a good lesson about software reliability :)
