Info: Trinix is a hobby operating system written from scratch. OS is written in D language. Based on OOP standards and implementing modified POSIX standards for the best usage with D. Only x86_64 CPU is supported. We are working on framework based on .NET naming conventions.

This is not an another UNIX clone OS.
The main HW for which I want to develop my OS is ZBOX PI321 pico (If I get one).

Can you describe the difference between C/C++ OS and your OS in D? I mean there are many options and one of them is to mimic the standard C++ OS, so there could be just a minor syntax difference and nothing more. But if, for example, the GC is used, then the OS is going to be more complex and interesting. However, I suppose the standard GC implementation can be included in the OS's code base just by using appropriate compiler option, so again there are more and less complex variants.

The main difference is only in syntax. D provide much better syntax, programming concepts and template system than C++.
I wanna use GC in future versions of OS. Now GC can be used only in a userspace apps.
