Yet another year was spend. A lot of questions (including noob ones) was asked, a lot of bugs was spotted and fixed. I really wish everyone to have a lot of good things in their lives, not to concentrate on OSDev too much, to fix bugs, add new functionality to their projects, to find themselves in life and not to be catched by trap of following others' rules. Happy new year!

There are pretty mature OSs on here around. From the few threads I've seen from 12:00 a.m. GMT-6:00, January 1, 2015 a.C to this post, it seems that there are less noobish people around I've only seen two of those, one about using BIOS Interrupts on protected mode and the other one (although it seems like a simple mistake, and the OP appears to be a good developer, it's a noobish question) about writing text to VGA memory (he was using char* instead of uint16_t* ).

Typing VGA memory as a byte array is a very accurate choice, and even preferable if you're not just using it for text mode

Sorry for the confusion . He was using the basic 25x80 VGA text mode left by GRUB.
