Im so lucky

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

Once again, I encourage you to move away from using phpBB ;)

Tell me why. If there is a strong enough reason, I get some benefit without lossing features I will.

Honestly I think most of my spam is from people. I've got capchas and email account activation turned on. Most of the spam is going to the General forum even though it isn't forum 1. I guess I could try to make it not be the last forum number to detect bots. SMC looks nice I'm just not aware of what it offers me that would help at this point.

As you said, phpBB is victim of its own popularity. Attention is drawn in general, not just from bots.

To put in it perspective, I help run ASMCommunity, in which has 10 fold the posts of this forum... and the only issues I have had with SMF targetting is some sicko from Hawaii doing manual PM annoyances with asian porn.

SMF simply outclasses phpBB. Spell-check is a nice feature :)

I used phpBB before SMF. As a personal note being an administrator, SMF admin center has been much better for me... much easier and much more thorough.

The only thing you would lose is the time to refit the Wiki setup. If you need help doing the Wiki member integration stuff, just let me know, I can help as it is pretty simple.

All-in-all, it is up to you man... just trying to help ;)
