Hi,
does anyone of you know a good content management system?
The only thing I know is that I can sort out Typo3 - that beast just sucks in my opinion. But how to classify other systems, hmm ...
Well, perhaps someone has an idea for a system with a totally different approach?
Thanks!

What requirements are you looking to cover? Lots of really different software gets shoved under the "CMS" label.

I have to admit first, I dislike web interfaces. They always seem clumsy and sluggish to me. However, I could live with a reasonable web interface.
The ability to create a template WYSIWYG-style (hope that was correct) would be good, too.
I did not get the need for TypoScript in the first place, and I think that language is just one of the worst I have ever seen.
Don't know if that is more helpful :/

Most CMS:s I've tried is to comlicated or to basic.
Mambo/Joomla (Joomla is a fork) is popular, tried any of those?
Depending on your needs, a forum software with plugins for frontpage news, wiki etc (as seen for punBB) might do the trick.

Only a quick look on Mambo's installation that they offer to play around with.

Or PHPNuke or similiar. I have never one that actually looks good (as in design) and I don't know if a solution of this type could have what I consider a good design at all. In this area, I need a bit of freedom to play with.
