From that PDF the full title for part # 68X2279 is "Personal System/2 Display Adapter 8514/A Adapter Interface Application Developer's Guide".

Unfortunately, no. The MCA bus is described there and the first entry in my table is an update to that.

You can only find it and see its price if you select "All publications" but not if you use "All orderable publications" or "All online publications (read/download)" as filters. This is the third time I've had to explain this...

It's because contacting IBM seems like the obvious solution. If you've tried everything in that regard, you might consider posting on mailing lists or Usenet.

Or, try a more radical approach; attempt to track down the original authors/designers who worked on this. I imagine some of them might be willing to describe how it works to you.. and possibly find you those documents.

Continuing in Brynet-inc's spirit... tried craigslist? Seriously, reaching a broader audience might be a good idea, no matter how you go about it. Could be that some old geezer has it on the attic without ever visiting forums like these and not knowing how rare they are.
