Hi, this is a very similar advert to the one I posted below, but not Linux focussed:

I am desperate for top developers with excellent C and X86 Skills to come and work for Citrix Systems in the UK. The job is very well paid; relocation is provided- as long as you can be eligible to work in the UK, then we want you!

Here is a copy of the job specification, if you are interested email me your CV to Citrix at modisintl.com or call +442070386442

If you know someone who might be interested them please forward my details to them- we have a generous reward package for people who recommend friends/colleagues who then get hired.

We are seeking exceptional candidates who can contribute to the development of this Xen-based platform to join our growing team.

You will work on technologies in domain 0 and our service VMs that provide a variety of services such as device emulation, communication protocols, VM management, USB device management and protocol handling, and startup and installation. This will include designing and implementing new technologies and features, as well as contributing to ongoing quality improvement.

As we are a small team, you'll get a mix of experience if you would like it, with regular opportunities to learn new technologies and help in other product areas, providing you demonstrate responsibility and care in your areas of responsibility.

What we'd like from you:

1. Commitment and passion for great software architecture and a taste for good design;

2. Ability to learn quickly and an already-proven skill in development on the Linux platform;

3. A strong understanding of x86 architecture;

4. A good understanding of software engineering principles, and an ability to make appropriate trade-offs and different points in the release cycle;

5. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline preferred, but we'll consider strong applicants without this.

Successful candidates may also have an understanding of virtualisation concepts, and any experience with Xen would be a bonus (though neither is mandatory - our goal is to find and retain excellent people).

This position is based in Cambridge, UK. Salery is dependant on experience.

Citrix XenClient is the future of client virtualisation, providing a secure way for customers to run virtual desktops managed by their IT department alongside ad-hoc personal VMs with full 3D grpahics. XenClient is a high-profile multi-national project with significant investment over a number of years

Thanks

Paul

Salery is dependant on experience.
Then are you doing the usual recruiter trick of displaying a salary that has absolutely no relevance to that offered after interview, or does that figure of £50,000 actually have some meaning?

Also as an edit, I'm not interested.

Nope- for a senior developer the salary is in that region (depending on experience)

Junior Developers would obviously not command such a high salary, but they are looking for talent regardless of experience.
