I've just released Escape v0.3 and thought I post it here. Since Version 0.2 a lot has been done:
- Bootable from harddisk and cdrom (Ext2 and ISO9660 filesystems)
- VM86-task that is used to query the BIOS for VBE-information. Therefore the GUI (and VESA-textmode) works on all emulators and machines I've tested it on. Before using the BIOS it just worked in Qemu, Bochs and VirtualBox.
- Small shell-scripting-language with pipes, io-redirection, path-expansion, background-jobs, arithmetic, loops, if-statements and variables
- Improved the GUI. Moving and resizing of windows is possible now. Additionally there is a GUI-shell and some controls. Works with 16, 24 and 32 bpp and arbitrary resolutions
