I'm getting tired of a world of script kiddies. I love writing low level code and after I browsed this web site I realized that this community is just what I need.
Hi everyone!!

Welcome, and we hope you enjoy your stay! Please excuse any smartassery you may come across by a few of the members of this forum, it's quite normal/common
Have fun,
Troy

Welcome!
This is definitely the place to break away from script-kiddyness.
But don't think you'll be able to get away without scripting... you'll probably script more now than you would have been being a script-kiddy.

But seriously, lets hope you know some assembly and some other mid-level language(C, pascal, C++ according to some people.. )
Also, read the wiki first!! and you can try
http://osdever.net it isn't updated often.. but it has some good tutorials and documents on it.

Yes, I'm new too. I love writing low-level code as well, and it doesn't get much more low-level than OS development.

Don't worry, I'm an embedded system programmer by profession. I write low level drivers so I "breath" C. And we only use raw C, no libraries.

Breathing C is the bomb. It's my new drug. I do a ton of it each day, forget about cocain.lmfaol.
