This is just sick. A 16 year old teenager brutally killed four kittens and he put the video on the internet. And he can be in prison up to 1,5 years?! I would suggest 25 years or the fucking electric chair! Okay, I'm not a animal person, but these things were alive and he threw them like toys. OMG!

I was unfortunately right what I said 4 months ago, when some teenagers from Czech republic did force a cat to drink slivovitz and then they threw the poor thing right before a instigated dog. I said "like after 4 months this will happen here". And wtf?

I wont watch the actual video as I AM a animal person, but I agree with you on the electric chair bit... if they can so carelessly throw away life, why not an eye for an eye? That is just another sign that this world is going down the $H173R

That is disgusting, people like that should get life (I don't believe in the death sentence, because it doesn't make a difference, because if they get life, their away from society anyway, killing them is just debasing ourselves, well that's my view at least....).
Oh and sorry I'm under 18 but I watched the video (Well at least the beginning, I couldn't bring myself to watch even a quarter of it...), I couldn't help myself (Damn negative suggestion....)

Inflater, That article is in Czech... Why would you even post it unless you were expecting people to watch the video?

There are sick people in this world, let's just hope a small percentage frequent these forums shall we?

I can feel my blood boiling as I even think about it. I've run into a number of people on the internet who believed that there's no harm in killing or tormenting animals because they thought that they didn't have feelings or felt pain like we did. Unbelievable.

It makes me furious when I think about people doing things like this. Completely unbelievable. Torturing and killing animals for the fun of it is never an okay thing to do, ever.

I must admit that I am an animal person, but any sane and reasonable person should realize that it's not normal or alright to do something like that.

Still, all things considered, killing the kid or putting him jail for the rest of his life for killing some animals seems unreasonable as well. He's a stupid 16 year old kid, not an evil person (possibly deranged, but probably not evil). One day twenty years from now, he'll probably regret doing it, and serving his life in prison for something like that isn't really fair.

While you could (possibly reasonably) argue that a kitten is the same as a human child, you've got to realize that this stupid kid didn't think so. He almost certainly thinks like normal people and believes that animals are worthless compared to people, and he'd never have done that to humans. I should know... I once did something related when I was much younger (not the same mind you, just related, and no I'm not going into details). I was stupid then, and I would never in my life do it again and often think about how badly I wish I hadn't done it. But I can't take it back, and have to live with that already for the rest of my life. I learned from my mistake, and imagine that he can too.

Then there are the people who kill insects left and right. Pretty much no one thinks that they are equal to kittens or people, but I won't even kill them now if I can help it.

Edit: Please note that I didn't watch the video because I don't want to know what he did exactly. And yes I do still believe that he should get a very severe punishment for what he did. 1.5 years might not be enough, but I don't know what would.

I'm sorry. If a blasted insect gets in my way, I'm going Chuck Norris on it. I'm not going to 'value' its life, anymore than a toad would. Cycle of life dude.

I really hate bugs.

Yes, me too, but there is no point in killing one thats not a bother. I'm not going to kill a bug if it's not bothering me.

Don't czechs torture and kill people too? I remember seeing some awful beheading videos from over there; let's just nuke their country and get it over with.

Edit: Nope, that was chechnya, my bad. Nuke the czech republic anyways though, if they kill kittens.

I'm about 98.5% sure that there are more Americans that kill kittens than there are Czech people, so your logic is deeply flawed. ;)

@Brynet-Inc:
I found that link when I was searching a news site, and I just translated the content in my 1st post. The link was provided to be 'evidence' to see that I'm not lying. If these things makes you upset, don't read the article in my link above.

BTW you're wrong again: the article isn't in Czech.

Anyways let's stick to the thread,ok?

Why nuke the country? what did the other inhibitants do?

Be simple and precise just kill the damn kid and get it over with. Removing someone like that from the gene-pool is a blessing for mankind. I feel this way about any criminal and as our planet has a population issue it might be a smart first step.

...

I'm speechless. Kill the kid, nuke the country? I think some posters here have more serious attitude problems than the kid in question...

Guys, I strongly recommend you visit your local slaughterhouse to see how your next hamburger is being "processed". Then consider how many such "processings" are done to serve your "needs" each year.

Then consider what they do in countries where the killing of animals isn't a highly industrialized process. Then consider practices like Shechita.

Then consider if you really never, ever, in your life, inflicted pain or death on an animal, if for nothing else but curiosity.

And when you've done all that, ask yourself: Will it really help that kid to become a better person if it spends some of the most valuable years of his life in a jail?

If it were my kid, it would receive a couple of solid whacks on the behind and a serious reading of the riot act, and I'd remember that I did my fair share of stupid things in my youth, yet still turned out to be a reasonably "normal" adult.

But probably some here would then like to send me to jail for children abuse or something...

IMO its a bad thing to overly generalize, especially nuking a country.

I must admit I've made that same suggestion repeatedly in my life (which would be for nuking the US, where the majority of people want to be able to carry lethal weapons (fact), support a war (bush got reelected), and are exceptionally violent (large percentage in jail), untrusting (Top gear couldn't give away a car for free), and without regards for others (the huge amount of lawsuits over well, nothing), while at the same point that same majority is christian and should therefore know to abide the ten commandments.)

Compared to that, the people of the chech republic as I know them are an example for them. (Excesses will still be everywhere)

As for solar's remarks, corporal punishment is legitimate for serious offences. It only becomes abuse if done in such a fashion that child stops taking a lesson from it.

As for the kittens, Killing animals for feeding or protecting oneself is part of nature. Which is why I don't mind killing off a mosquito when I see one - the effects of me getting bitten last much longer than a bug's lifetime. I do take several more friendly precautions to keep them away.

Killing for fun is just bad and should indeed be punished, but with a sensible punsishment. A lifetime in prison hardly allows the perpertrator to improve itself.
