Trance

Post by suthers »

I like loads of styles of music (except rap which I hate), but one off my favorite styles is Trance, my favorite artist is Armin van Buuren, I was wondering if anyone else on the forum liked trance and if not what styles/artists do you like and why?
I like trance because I enjoy to have music that 'morphs' a lot but also has a good solid beat, can work at any volume and can seems to change its effects on you (Upper/Downer) depending on volume, I also feel that having a constant logical beet allows you to program with more ease while listening to it (though this is probably entirely subjective...).

trance is good, especially psytrance - 1200 micrograms and G.M.S. are my favourites.

i quite like trancy dance music too, and some drum and bass - pendulum are immense.

my main music genre however IS rap :) rap, rnb, hip-hop, soul, reggae and grime (uk rap), with some drum and bass, some dance and the psytrance

I dislike rap intensely, but so many people like it to day that I wont hold it against you.
Love trance though.

Infected Mushroom
Dj Tiesto
ATB
Gabriel and Dresden
BT
Dj Tatana
DT8 Project
Ferry Corsten
(VA) Anokha

and not particularly in that order, but ya. Those artists make up about 60% of my entire music library. I'm into very trancy/symphonic sounds and alot of atmospheric trance.

You pagan :D
ABBA is prety decent. More decent than the average junk that gets out today
I'm stuck with seventies-eighties rock for most part with my favorite artists, soundtracks do too. But everything has a share in my collection even though i'm rather picky about what's actually good.

Ponie rock? wtf?

As for the "youth of today", I hate all these music styles: emo, screamo, hip hop, DnB, RnB, rap, 99,99% today's pop, techno, techno-industrial, trance, reggae, ska, acapela, (heavy)metal, garage, more to come. ;)

But I listen a bit to My chemical romance. It's a mix between "rock" and emo, but I like only the music. Not the way their hairstyle etc (and that same applies for Boney M, ABBA, ACDC etc). ;)

Regards
