I was wondering if I used another program's source written in C and program it in Pascal, how do I give credit to the original author?

Please help,
Joseph

If you translated C code to pascal and the original was GPL licensed, then you have little choice than to GPL your version.

How would I give credit to the author then?

Unless the author had a license file and a copyright header then you are free to choose how to honour him. If he had a copyright header, this must be preserved, as must the licence (especially if it's GPL!)
