Almost everyone i know has a nickname .... As for me my nickname is "Anthoyi" ... the name by which i am popularly known ... btw "Anthoyi" is the
main character of the AIDS awareness programme ... It is the virus itself ( dressed in a cartoon like dress) ... Anyone here with better nicknames ????

My nickname is and has allways been "Zacariaz" which i later upgraded to "Felix Zacariaz Bloutarski".

The nick "Zacariaz" has been unique most of the time i have been using it, but lately one or more other people have started using it. Quite annoying actually.

I've been Colonel Kernel since 1999. I like it because it the two words are homophones. It was inspired by that short Roman guy in the Little Caesar's Pizza commercials ("Pizza Pizza!").

As for my nickname, It's a trade secret.. highly classified.

I chose this nickname when we got internet and I first joined a forum some 8 years ago, and it kinda stuck. Originally it was spelled with braces "(Com)Buster", but the MT forums didn't allow that so it got watered down and I couldn't be bothered to upgrade it here after the merge.

I chose this one when I was something like 9 years old and it's stuck (I really couldn't be bothered changing everything ).

I've been 'Piranha' since 4 years, because I drew a really cool looking one in art class.

How do you pronounce "Anthonyi"? I read it as "an-thuh-noy"

Your nickname is good, or at least it stuck with me. It seems like a somewhat obvious idea because less computer-literate people always think "colonel" when you say "kernel," but I hadn't seen it until I came here and I remember thinking it was really clever

Online I've gone by a few names but "staples" or "MadeOfStaples" seems to stick with a lot of people and I am often greeted as "staples" or "stapes" (interestingly, mostly if not always by people I've grown up with or at least know pretty well in real life--before the handle, anyways).

In real life, everyone calls me by my real name except for my best friend. It's strange for a nickname in that my best friend and I both call each other "Titto" (pronounced "tee-toe", even though it has a double-t and should technically be pronounced "tit-oh"). It's a long story, but it developed from my best friend's other nickname, "Tanto," through many drunken weekends. When both of us call each other "titto" in a group of friends, others start to use it. The curious thing is, when someone else says "titto," the correct one ALWAYS responds, as if some subtle vocal pattern indicated which one--we still don't know why it works, but it hasn't yet failed.

Oh, then I got a dog and named him titto (hessocute)

I am known as 'E'. obviously. =)

I got that nickname 3 years ago at a sci-fi convention named Arisia CON. On all of my badges for CON's I have the '01000101' as my name and the name 'E' has stuck with me.

8-9 years back, I had the nick curKo. When you change the syllables to Kocur, it means a cat, but when C has a acute ˇ as like Č, it means "dork", but I didn't knew that in the time being , so I used the one without the diacritical symbol.
Also I heard of a musician surnamed "ÄŒurko"... I would be a bit ashamed of that name (www.curko.sk)

When I was younger, I watched cartoons of course (Slovak, later Slovak and English both), and when I watched Dexters laboratory, I've saw a episode named "Inflat-a Dee-dee". Hmm. "inflater" sounded good as I pronouncate it as "een-flah-ter". Sounds a bit geeky, eh?

Funny, because the common pronunciation is "in-flay-ter".. which is a weird nickname.

balloon blower-upper is such a long-winded professional title. ha, its great.
