Recently I decided to put a *nix distro on my VirtualPC 2007 setup. Unfortunately, that never happened due to (im assuming) compatibility issues. I tried slackware 11, linuxmint, ubuntu 7.04, kubuntu 7.10, and knoppix and all failed with the same issue. Everytime I try to install, it makes it all the way past the normal installation stuff until it gets to a GUI, then the screens resolution is 1600x768! and it is multicolored madness at that point. if i try to go into full-screen view, it says that the screen is not large enough to support the current virtual resolution.
I've ran linux on Virutal PC 2005 and it worked fine, what is the issue now?

Searching google would have revealed a few solutions...

There might be other issues.. but you shouldn't need us to fix them.

actually i was being rhetorical in my last statement.
I just dont get why it would not work now, but work in a previous version.
and i already searched google.
