PowerPC??

where can i get a PowerPC G4 or G5 processor? i mean, how do companies like Apple get them and is there a way in which i can get one from a semiconductor company?
I had a quick look at Freescale Semiconductors (who produced the processors), and you can indeed order powerpc processors from there.
However, the G4 (MPC7400) is End-of-life and you'll have to do a more time-intensive search to find one. (haven't looked up the G3, but its likely more of the same story). They recommend the 7410 as a replacement.
you may want to look here for alternative options. A few models are sold directly, but for most they have an interesting list of vendors whom you can approach for the nice information (there should be a shop 15km from my place which sells 7410's)
