Ordering hard copy Intel manuals

Hello,

I'm tired of reading Intel manuals on my computer and want to order the hard copy versions.

On the "Literature Fulfillment Center" page (http://www.intel.com/design/literature.htm) they request a company name. Do they only deliver hard copies to firms or has anyone of you ordered a copy once.

Also, they don't mention ordering and transport fees (I'm outside the American continent).

Thanks for your help.

Skip the company name. That's what I did. They ship world-wide for free too (I'm in Australia).

About a week after I ordered it I got an e-mail saying "You're order has been confirmed" and I had the books the next day! (Either their confirmation system is slow and their postage is fast, or they purposely delayed sending the e-mail).

Does anyone know about ordering the AMD manuals?

Did you put all of the SKU numbers in one email or did you use more than one email?

I sent one e-mail per SKU.

I put all the sku's in a single email. Getting the books was damn fast. Now I have an old set and a new set. :)

Nope. Free, including express postage.

I've requested the manuals twice now, once at the beginning of august, and again mid-September. Both times I've been told they're out of stock, first time I was told to request again mid-September, then I was told they don't know when they'll get more stock...

They did send the optimization manual, but thats not much good without the main 5 volumes...

Thanks for the fast replies.

I can't believe such documents could actually be free!

Did anyone order a copy recently? Is the situation still as paul described it?

i put the name of my OS as the company name -- i dont know about them being 'out of stock' i havent ever seen that, but usually the only time they wont send is right before they update them... they could be in the process of preparing new revision for print, and so they arnt printing the old ones, and are still waiting for the new ones (this happens every once in a while -- actually it happened right before i ordered my latest copies -- revision 019US)

the copies you download are kept up-to-date much more easily than the print copies, so the print copies arent updated as often

although, once in a while, they will redesign their site, and hide the ordering information, to discourage orders for a while... (printing and shipping these large books, is very expensive)

anyway, i have looked at the link, and browsed intels site a bit and it dont seem that the manuals or the shipping costs anything, however it is not written that it is free either...
Normaly in such a situation i wouldnt assume that it was free and i wont now either, enless you can guaranti it... (if you dare ;) )
