Username "Restricted" unusable in Vista?

Post by earlz »

I was thinking about installing Limewire, but I wanted to try to contain any of the spyware and such, so I decided to make a new account that's "standard" (the equivalent of limited) so that it won't have access to everything..

Ok, so I was going to use the account name Restricted as it's descriptive for the purpose(to restrict access) of the account...

Well, I got the error "The specified account name is not valid, because account names cannot contain the following characters: /\[]":;|<>+=,?* "

I tried retyping it, and it didn't change, I also tried using an almost identical name (Restrictec) but it keeps giving me that error...

The weird part is that I can create the account Restrictec and then rename it to Restricted with no errors...

anyone know a reason for why this is?
