People who knows nothing about technical/engineering points of development can be very useful to help in one's design, because by not being "doped" with compound considerations, can bring a bit of naturality and what users really expect from computers.

So, if the main goal was to make a machine to emulate the human functions and help it, and since the current technical base is largely the result of inability of getting the originally expected results straight, it's good to include normal people who knows nothing but for that very point has all that necessary to "refresh" the state of the art.
