Linux program for cataloging shows and movies

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

Linux program for cataloging shows and movies

Post by AndrewAPrice »

What program do people recommend for cataloging episodes and movies in Linux? I want a program with a simple interface that allows me to explore a directory (say /mnt/video) and sort by TV show, year, episode number, etc, and then play the file. Sort of like a HTPC frontend, but the ones I have experimented with try to clutter the interface with TV tunning options which I don't require.
My OS is Perception.

Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

MythTV can use premade videos with a plugin, iirc.
