Windows 3.11 on internet?!

Post by inflater »

Yeah, this is possible. I just installed good ol' Win 3.11 into QEMU, downloaded TCP/IP protocol and set up the virtual networking.

And result, with IE 3.02?

Does that old "Microsoft Network" exist from that Win '95 era?
I am too lazy to plug my old modem on the telephone line and call this outdated service :D :D :D What does it cost anyway?

Is it possible to install Windows 3.11 on SATA, PCI-express (or even PCI for that matter) computers? Considering SATA is not in the legacy mode configurable from the BIOS that is.
