BlueIllusionOS - Status Update and some stuff to look at.

I've put an interims image of BlueIllusionOS online. YOu can click on the link in my signature to fetch it.

I DO know that it works in vmware. Currently it only supports 32 bpp in graphics mode.

I DO NOT know whether it works on real hardware for now. I've done so much under the hood and lack the time for proper testing currently. This will be done at some point later on.

This is merely a "show off - look at THIS os" thing of release for many little things need to be brushed out and others need to be fixed. I'm after some bigger application currently - it's for study: something which shows graphs and graph algorithms like Kruskals Minimum Spanning Tree and sorta.

Have fun whilst giving it a try. It should work in vmware at least. :-)

stay safe

PS: You can get Vmware Server for free from www.vmware.com

It looks nice distantvoices, Nice work 8)

GUI looks like it's hand drawn, Will it be cleaned up after backend work is finished?

Hi distantvoices. Nice job getting a GUI running on your OS!

I'm sorry to ask something that's probably obvious, but...How do I login?

I am using VMWare and I made it to the login screen just fine.

Ah, I've of course forgotten something:

user: root
password: admin

choose root from the list or select the upper textbox and enter "root"
then select the textbox below and enter "admin"

everything lower case.

then click "login" and there you go.

sorry for omitting the most important thing. shame on me.

@brynet: well ... I'm more the "back-.end and get-it-running-smoothly guy". So it will take quite some time ere the icons (which I have drawn in gimp by mouse) will be replaced with something better looking. The font too. It's atrocious. I admit.
