With joy I present you my OS-Project, BlueIllusionOS.

LInk: http://www.distantvoices.org

It is a microkernel os with GUI, Userland(few apps), FS service, Network Service, ... what so ever. It is under a major rework currently (especially the gui stuff) so things don't work as one might expect. I'm currently implementing window composing into the gui service, so it will take time ere a new release will turn up.

I used to post on MT-Forums. Last year and a half I didn't post so much.

I'm gaining my life on my own. I have a fairy. I'm after a masters degree. This is going to last for at least 2 3/4 years. Well - the months are flying by. I know naught about the word boring, eh? *gg*

Oh, and please don't ask me to do moderation stuff. I don't want the job. I lack the hankering for it.

stay safe.

I just tried your OS in VirtualBox, and it seems to crash it. :/ Wasn't able to get debug output either. I will try it on real hardware though.

@maddog:

Thank you for testing. The Thing is, I do the testing mostly in VMware and very seldom with real hardware. I'm going to incorporate some error reporting again as soon as I've found a spot of time which I can use for it. YOu know, masters degree and so forth ... the exams aren't easy nor are they too difficult but they do require a certain amount of work. It's time consuming. Please bear with me not being too responsive and lazy with Bugfix and other releases of my os.

Stay Safe.

BTW: does it switch to the graphics mode or does it crash earlier in text mode?

COuld you provide a screenshot?

That iso image provided on your site eventually corrupted my entire GNOME desktop on my Ubuntu edgy setup. So I just reinstalled ubuntu and I reverted my version back one so using dapper now and VMWare seems to be working perfectly as it wasnt in edgy. Which is why I was using Virtual Box in the first place. But yea, the OS didnt even remotely boot in Virtual Box, I'd start the VM and it'd lock up and I'd have to force quit it. This was a stable release of Virtual Box as well.

I am testing your OS as I speak in VMWare Server and it seems to be working perfectly.

[Edit]
Was very impressed when I found this window transparency! This is much more than I expected from the screenshots on your website. Here is a screenshot.
