You guys are good at this lowlevel programming, I am not. I am more of a software developper than anything. Therefore I leave this world of ultimate control, and will instead build apps for windows to perform the things I need. I will finish the project I started a while back, a LVL2 OS, the true SPHINX-WAP OS. I am creative, I am Inventive, and I will continue to make your lives difficult by pointing out every negative aspect of your os's; and consequeltly crash them.

Goodbye all, will be back after university is done... (LONG TIME, I'm still in High school). I enjoyed my short time here... Well not really, most of you are total ***holes (not all though)

Look, there have been attempts to help you, there have been attempts to be nicer in our (the current members) responses (several threads), but the only way to actually be successful at making an OS is to seriously listen to what others post about you and your ideas. You must actually care a lot to do this, and learning the material is part of that.

I'm sorry if there was anything offensive to you, but you need to learn the basics.

Sincerely, Good luck.

Just out of my own curiousity, which registrar did you use to register your company?

I'm pretty sure it isn't registered as a corporation.

There is nothing wrong with pretending to be a conglomerate. ;)

I know you probably wont read this but:

Do you really think were magically born with the ability to be good at low level programming, no we learnt to be good and it, learn't tricks, etc...
Again your making us sound like were doing something any half brained idiot could do with no work and as only tool an ability he was born with, some people who are still here find low level programming hard, but they persevere and finally get good at it, they don't post, get a flame and quit...
As for crashing our OSs, don't contradict what you can't write and go back to witting some bloody VB script...
Also I hope you'll have a better attitude when you come back and if you think we were ***holes, were not really, we just feel insulted that you should even considered coming here with so little knowledge about it....
I hope you didn't consider me an ***hole and I didn't mean to offend you in any way, I'm just telling the truth.
Your sincerely,

Do you think he is the worst? I think I've seen this behavior(maybe worse) before in this forum.

After almost 1 year of reading, maturing, studying and practicing and COMPLETING The sphinx-wap os project (now named Wapos COM Parser) I feel prepared to revive this project. I read back on my, admittedly VERY newbish posts and feel I deserve a second chance to prove myself to you guys :)

Wish me luck! (again)

Side note: One big thing that changed for me is my general mindset. as a great man told me recently:

"first make it work. Then make it work better"

BTW: I moved have moved beyond the magical world of managed code, to pure c++, then the win32 api, then assembly (wapos is written in pure c++)

Well, it is good to hear that you decided not to give up and to take the critisizm as motivation.

Hope you make progress with your OS. What is its current status? Custom bootloader? Kernel type (monolithic, micro, hybrid, etc...)?

Congratz.

In my opinion, anyone who can take that and come back a year later having studied is a good person in my book.

Good luck with it.

Do you have any specific designs you'd like to share?

The post that started this thread was *three months ago*, not one year...
