All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

I remember using 10.0 (10.1?) and having it lock up nearly once a day. I had to manually restart with the restart button on the side to fix it. Also, there were issues with the printer. I had to delete and then reinstall it to get it to work. (Something with the queue, I think.)

a side note on the matter; in my opinion i think microsoft is lazy, i mean think about vista: what is vista? vista is XP with a new GUI and a power hungry security gaurd. well... what is XP? a version NT and so on... Things like that.

This is probably the best Mac vs. PC commercial, and the most truthful. ;)
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
  1. Too much overtime at work
  2. Got married
  3. My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager
Don't let this happen to you!

Well maybe lying was too strong of a word, yes they do exaggerate a lot. I have nothing against Macs in general (I do have something against the iPod but that's a completely different story) I just hate that kind of advertising. It should say Windows vs. Mac since PCs can run something other than Microsoft products. Also while we may see the exaggeration the average person will think oh I have to hit confirm every time I want to send an instant message. It just reminds me too much of politicians and their borderline lies and personal attacks. I know I'm ranting a lot, sorry.
