Launcher is GUI, because it's implements start screen, menu screen and etc, but it's not GUI library such as GTK.Love4Boobies wrote:But you're using it wrong. You're using the word "shell", which means something else, instead of the ambiguous "launcher", which I still wouldn't recommend unless you want to waste people's time with extra explanations about Android nomenclature. I actually had to Google "Android launchers". And themes/skins/launchers are not the same as GUIs, they are just a presentation running on top of it.

Re: OGDOS
My last recommendation to you: please read. Read a lot. Read until you stop slapping random words together and start actually making sentences that make sense. Then come back to OSdev.monobogdan wrote: Launcher is GUI, because it's implements start screen, menu screen and etc, but it's not GUI library such as GTK.

Re: OGDOS
You mentioned previously that you were using the FreeDOS kernel. By saying "32-bit kernel is coming", I think you are greatly underestimating the amount of work that's required to build a functional kernel from scratch. Just saying, though.monobogdan wrote:32 bit kernel is coming.
You know your OS is advanced when you stop using the Intel programming guide as a reference.
