2 try the tests i suggested in previous post
As I told you before 4-5 posts, i test in a real pc and runs ok.
At VMWare no.

After this test, i realize that is an old version.
I download versions 2.08 & 2.09.
Under VMWare:
I test v.2.09 but it can't load.
I test v.2.08 and runs ok

i did not test versions 2.08 & 2.09 at a real pc.
maybe later.
I am to busy right now to make compiles, write to floppy, reboot, etc.
I have no time for my OS,... how i can find for yours ? :)

Maybe VMware does not support the VESA mode that you are trying to use?

No while doing tests i disabled the floppy driver and forget to enable it again  ,so octaos v0.209 will not work with floppies.

Because there is some bug.
Can you give more details about the machine and Octaos version used?

hey, I tried out FD206 on VirtualPC 2007, and all I got was some strange symbols at the top of the screen and the rest was black.
I left it running for about 10 minutes and shut it off.

I don't know why, but the something like this (colored lines and OS halt) does with my OS.
In a real PC or in VMWare, my OS runs ok. In Virtual PC, No!

This also happens on the 2 computers i tested Asterix OS ,but i don't have idea about the cause.

Hi,

I get garbage on the screen with some Linux versions on VPC. I have a feeling that in the past someone has mentioned that it reports odd things about video. For example, if you detect the actual make of video card, some parts of the implementation of that video card are missing compared to the physical card itself. Also, IIRC, 24 bit video modes are either missing or incomplete.

Cheers,
Adam
