30? But that's so OLD!

Just kidding around, of course. I have heard many people say things like "Don't get married until you're 30." Perhaps this is some magic number that if you wait until both you and the spouse-to-be are 30, the marriage will "just work" and there'll be lots of "plug and play"? Eh, maybe in my next life...

Difference in culture , divorce is usually unheard of , atleast in my family circles . There are only few instances of divorce infact very few . You couples stay together no matter what :D .
Even my parents do fight sometimes on a regular basis ( like once 2 months etc ) , but they really do care for each other . I can see that when one of them is sick ( fever or something like that ... ) . But at other times they utter words like "you are a person with a petty and cheap character . I never thought i will marry you ... Marrying you is the greatest mistake of my life " :D

Yeah, it's a huge difference in culture. Unfortunately in the US, the divorce rates are extremely high. And those aren't fighting words, they're words of endearment

But hey, all couples fight. Fighting is a perfectly okay and normal to do, and it'll happen in just about any healthy relationship. What really counts is what started the fight, and how the matter was solved... if the fight was started over something like adultery, and it ended with knives being thrown, well that's definitely not a healthy relationship. (Yes, that one happened to me... my fiancee at the time cheated on me, and then threw a knife at me when I told her it was over after I found out about it. Luckily she missed, and I did get the police involved. She spent the night in jail until her parents bailed her out, who begged me not to press charges because the chick would lose her job if I did. Being the nice and vengeful person that I am, I pressed charges anyway. She was convicted and got to spend 6 months in jail. Yup, she lost her job... apparently you can't be a school teacher when you've got a criminal record.)

The reason for most fights are small n silly matters and money . My father is a horrible money manager . He would lend any amount of money to his 'so called friends ' and most of the time , they never returns it back and he commits the same mistake again and again . He is so simple that almost anyone can fool him , At least I do at times   .

But i do not think you did the right thing there , live and let live  . Forgetting is more easier than you think

Sandeep
