The purpose of a thread like this is quite obviously "killing time", because it doesn't serve any real purpose - even less so if controversial or interesting questions are not discussed in greater detail.
Shoes or barefoot?
Barefoot. Feels better, healthier, and I tend to emit noxious fumes at the end of a day in shoes.

Kill all managers, or kill all politicians?
Can't we just do both?

If I have to choose.... politicians... they lie more & stab in backs more.

Cola or coffee? (hope this one's new)

PS: congrats on page 9 :D

One thing about going barefooted I have not yet figured out is: how do deal with bees/wasps in summertime? I mean, I can't go for a walk in a relaxed fashion when I always have to carefully watch the ground I'm supposed to step onto. In general I like it, but to me this is really the one big issue why I don't do it regularly in summer. Ah - summer..... 8) 8) where art thou?

cheers, discussing Joe

Stand alone. You get better quality on a TV than on a monitor

Ummmm... Apache (windows or linux) or ISS?

Is that meant to be "ISS" or actually IIS (Microsoft Internet Information Services)?

If I really had to choose, I'd chose for Apache (Linux). If I had other choices, I'd probably choose for another one. (Current "lighttpd" is installed on one computer).

Let's see, Nintendo 64 or PS1?

definately N64, better controls, better graphics, better sound and better games, although there aren't as many N64 games as there are PS1.

Getting woken up by a radio or by a buzzing alarm clock

neither. Both are nuisances.

But due to working life circumstances, it's necessary to get up in time. I prefer radio at decent volume, so my heart doesn't go gambolling away. Oh - it needs half an hour to even recognize the fact that the radio is playing anyway. *gg*

Being a good guy or being bad guy? (Both have their advantages at times.)

Hmmm I'd have to be the bad guy.. You know, the one that is really evil, almost kills the good guy, kills himself in the process of saving the good guy and get's remembered as a hero of sorts... Only 'cos of the cool cloaks and all the black that bad guys get to wear... :D

Being physically or mentally tortured?

I'd choose being tortured physically because there's greater chance of recovery than tortured mentally.

Let's see ...

Winamp or Windows Media Player

WinAMP. Have you read the EULA of Media Player 9? It reserves M$ the right to subsequently install further software on your system without asking your permission... can you say DRM / spyware?

But as your question was biased, my question is:

XMMS or Zinf?

Am I a pest for bringing this archaic thread back from the ashes, or am I not? :P

Same answer as "Should I register before bringing back ancient posts?" :P
