yea usbkeys really replaced floppies; thing about usbkeys is they aren't bootable though..are they?
also sd cards(camera's,psp's,ect) replaced them... sdcards are more cheap though(64mb is like $20 here;64mb usbkey is $30)

If you have a computer made within the last 5 years or so (someone know an actual number?) then chances are you will be able to boot a usb stick.

I still feel floppies are still standard, this is because my 1.5 year old motherboard has a feature to recover the BIOS firmware from a floppy.
For SD/CF/etc cards, I'm actually wanting to get a CF card 4GB minimum to replace my laptops hdd. It seems to be the perfect solution with saving battery life and removing the the convientional power off and spin up thats annoying if you want to play a simple game (The behavoir seems to be hard coded feature regardless what options you set in Windows).
