There already as a scientific language designed to express consise and/or complex statements (logic), it is called mathematics.

English, amongst other human communicative languages, is designed to express ideas, desires and to generally be used as a medium to convey thought.

People who pick at one language because it isn't like the other, need to step back from their swiss-army knives and high-level "I can solve everything with one tool" programming languages ;)

Heh, I personally don't think English is really suitable for anything in particular, jack of all trades and master of none as it were. But then what do you expect from a language mangled together from countless others? ;) It's good for everyday interactions and suchlike, I'll give it that, but there's a lot of redundancy, conflicting meanings and things like that that manage to cause confusion even then. Plus, once you get further than everyday interactions, say for example expressing how you feel to that special someone, there aren't actually that many words to choose from so everything has a tendency to sound the same.

I'm not saying any other language is any better, just making observations. Anywho, it's my primary language and I wouldn't trade it for any other (except I'm attempting to learn Mandarin, Russian, Thai...). ;D

Hence how well English can convey thought/desire. You can say things in almost any order, along with the neglect of basic English grammar, and you still will most likely get your point across.

Need any more proof... Jedi Master Yoda :P

Have a point do you. I just like trashing my native language. Besides, apparently Yoda speaks perfectly valid english, it's just in a form neglected by most people (everyone).
